Locations in PNG Where We Have Terrestrial Network Coverage:
VSAT Coverage throughout PNG
There are parts of Papua New Guinea that aren’t easily accessed by a traditional networking infrastructure. To overcome this logistical challenge, the NEXUS team leverages an array of satellites to provide connectivity. We cover the whole country with our VSAT networks and provide network topologies developed to your organisation’s specifications.
Private Ethernet in Papua New Guinea
“Ethernet” encompasses the many services we offer clients that want to send data from one customer location to another without necessarily utilising the internet. There are dozens of reasons for this choice, ranging from security to cost efficiency. Whatever your reason for needing Private Ethernet, we’re here to help you achieve your connectivity goals.
Internal Connectivity Development and Management
Internal connectivity focuses on connectivity between your location in PNG and either your other locations globally or hosted services such as AWS or datacentre facilities. The NEXUS team helps you determine the ideal blend of internal and external connectivity needed to support your existing processes while providing the flexibility you need to scale into the future.
VoIP Services throughout PNG
An IP PBX phone system can make and receive phone calls over the internet while maintaining analog phones throughout the office.
IP – Internet Protocol (IP) is the method of transmitting data from one server to another. This technology allows calls to be routed through modern, internet connectivity as opposed to outdated telephone landlines.
PBX – Private Branch Exchange , known as a PBX, is an internal telephone network. A PBX exists on-premises, or you can host it from the cloud securely.
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is our local call termination in our three PNG locations (Mt Hagen, Lae, Port Moresby) as well as our hosted IP PBX solution.
Data Backup and Disaster Recovery
In our PNG office and Aus datacenter, we host backups of our customers’ mission-critical data. This backup solution provides an added layer of data redundancy and protection against accidental data loss and the negative impact of ransomware. This data backup offering is also known as Disaster Recovery as a Service or “DRaaS.”
What is DRaaS?
DRaaS is the replication or hosting of physical or virtual servers by a third party to provide failover in the event of a man-made or natural catastrophe.
DRaaS can be especially useful to organisations that lack the necessary expertise to provision, configure, and test an effective disaster recovery plan (DRP).
